BIOGRAPHY
Victoria Frings is a German-American actress, writer, and director currently originating the role of Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin Clicquot in the Broadway-bound Madam Clicquot: A Revolutionary Musical. This romantic, sweeping musical about the woman who founded Veuve Clicquot champagne released a celebrated EP in 2023. The world premiere production will open Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera's 2025 season. Earlier this year, Victoria wrote and directed a short film, Stitches. She also wrote, co-directed, and starred in The Club, which she has since developed into a TV series.
Victoria has appeared on Broadway (An Enemy of the People) and Off (Vladimir, Tales from Red Vienna, Martin Luther on Trial), as well as at award-winning theaters across the country. She received the Emery Battis Award for her work as Celimene in The School for Lies at the Shakespeare Theater, directed by Michael Kahn. She received rave reviews for her work as Marianne in the two-hander Constellations opposite Christian Coulson at the Old Globe. She starred as David Strathairn's daughter in the US Premiere of Vaclav Havel's Leaving at the Wilma Theater.
Victoria has produced several plays in New York, including Mechanics of Love by the Emmy-nominated Dipika Guha. She created, developed, and starred in a cabaret act, Marie Marie Marlene, about Marlene Dietrich. As a writer, Victoria has several film and TV projects in development. She splits her time between Los Angeles and New York.

"Victoria Frings, a distinctive musical voice... shows us a remarkable vocal agility and range. She makes us wish for more... Her originality shines through, a voice you will not forget."
Stage and Cinema
"But it seems doubtful there’s a universe in which Frings isn’t completely charming, assured and agile in her portrayal of Marianne. Her range and grasp of the character (in its many iterations) is especially arresting in a series of scenes where she alternately rejects and accepts Roland’s proposal of marriage, going from coolly dismissive to flustered to adorably gleeful, with an ecstatic physical vocabulary to match."
The San Diego Union Tribune
"Victoria Frings... runs the gambit of emotions, switching between selfish and selfless with the blink of an eye, diving deep into the struggle of reconnecting with her sister."
